The size is big problem for most sellers and buyers online. There are many factors, I don’t want to discuss the details here. I only want to focus on telling you how to choose right size from SisterSilk.
When choose size, please consider below points:
Latitude & longitude:
Please always keep in mind you not only need to consider the latitude, but also the longitude. There only latitude measurements on our size chart, the longitude measurement we state on each listing description. All our length is suggesting for height about 175cm or 5ft7in which is average height for western men. Loose or slim fit:
Please do consider your personal taste, you prefer loose fit or slim fit, if you want loose fit, then choose bigger size.
Ease Space:
Ease space means the difference between the clothing and your body, mainly on chest, waist, and hips, it mainly for movement and comfortable.
The ease space is different for different style of clothing, sleepwear needs bigger ease space than most tight-fitting dress. Knitted fabric need smaller ease space than weaved fabric. Older people prefer loose fit and younger people like slim fit more. Outer wear needs more ease space than underwear. Sleeveless clothing with less ease space than with sleeve.
All the measurements on our clothing size chart are body measurements, our size chart combined the USA standard and the European standard, not Asian standard. Below is our suggested ease space for different style of clothing based on weaved silk fabric.

Better to tell us your measurements:
The interval for metric sizing is 4-6cm, for imperial sizing is 1”-2”, but for letter sizing it is 8-10cm, please refer sistersilk size chart. So, when you choose size L, to fit all the people falling in this size, we will make the tops 110+10=120cm bust, obviously, this top is very loose for 102cm chest. So, to get your idea size, please tell us about your measurements plus the ease space you prefer, then we can make accordingly. If you don’t know your measurements, you also can tell us the bras size you wear, or your weight and height, so we can estimate your measurements roughly, although it may not fit you perfect, but at least we can ensure you can put on it.
Don’t suggest tight fit for silk clothing:
Silk is very soft and drapey, it is mainly for comfortable, it is so fine it ease split for low momme silk, so we don’t suggest you wear it with tight. If you want slim fit for stylish, please buy stretch silk or higher momme silk like 30 or 40 momme silk. Stretch silk is 94% mulberry silk blended with 6% spandex, so it much stronger than pure silk and it can be stretched some.
Design with systematic:
I think you must have encountered the problem, when you want to put on another clothing, you will feel that your inside clothing very uncomfortable around armpit and shoulder. It mainly because they are not compatible.
Our silk clothing designed with systematic, if all the silk clothing buys from us, then there won’t has this problem.
