What is mulberry silk?
Mulberry silk is the silk produced by mulberry silkworm, the mulberry silkworm Bombyx mori is the only silkworm reared in captivity. So except the mulberry silk, there also have several wild silks spinning into textiles. But obviously the cultivated silk is much better than wild silk.

Actually when people refer to silk, they mostly refer to mulberry silk, because most of the silk products is made by mulberry silk. But why most sellers emphasis their silk is mulberry silk, it mostly because now the silk concepts has be broadly used, before the silk solely means natural silk, but now there is poly silk, ice silk, acetate, etc. If you search silk on ebay and choose material silk, you will find most is fake silk with very low price. So if you want to find the authentic silk, please search mulberry silk on google, ebay.

Many customers told me that our material not silk, looks like satin. In their mind, satin is one kind of material, before ebay also put satin as material. We can’t say they are wrong, because satin was originally made solely by silk. But satin is one type of fabric with a glossy top surface and a dull back, it is not material like silk does. Now satin not only made by silk, it also can be made by poly, acetate, etc. Before satin means silk satin, but now you better add the material before satin, like silk satin, silk crepe de chine, silk georgette, silk chiffon, poly satin.
